In 1887 Kew Cottages was established as a world leader in the provision of services to the intellectually disabled.
For over a decade, the Kew Cottages Coalition fought for an Intellectual Disability Centre of Excellence (IDCE)  to be established on this historic 27 hectare State Heritage site overlooking the Yarra Valley, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

The Victorian State Government refused...
