Transmittal 01 Date: Wed, 24 Mar 2004 11:21:12 +1100 From: tenders@dtf.vic.gov.au Reply-To: rob.fisher@dhs.vic.gov.au To: astra.balzan@dhs.vic.gov.au KEW RESIDENTIAL SERVICES (KRS) REDEVELOPMENT ACCOMMODATION REPLACEMENT PROJECT EOI E-2982 - SITE DEVELOPER TRANSMITTAL 1 - 24 March 2004 With respect to queries received to date from potential respondents, the following responses are provided. 001 "Interested in receiving a copy of the KRS tender documents sent out" Details are available on the web site www.tenders.vic.gov.au. The advertisement and accompanying brief can be downloaded from the web site. 002 "How many dwellings are involved in with this site development? Will they be built by individual builders? Construction timetable?" There are likely to be in excess of 350 dwellings on the site, but the final number will be at the discretion of the Developer as long as the proposal is in full accordance with the relevant planning documentation. The contractor for the dwelling construction will again be at the discretion of the Developer. It is the Government?s intention that construction works on the 20 new houses for Kew residents should commence in time for completion by mid 2006, ready to be occupied by KRS residents. Completion of the remaining dwellings will be in accordance with the Developers timetable. 003 "Unable to download the (planning) amendment document from the DSE web site, which includes the Urban Design Framework." Copies of the Planning Scheme Amendment C53, including the Urban Design Framework, dated October 2003 are available for viewing at the Planning Information Centre, Upper Plaza Level, Nauru House 80 Collins Street, OR the DOI Regional office Level 2 Vic Roads Building, 12 Lakeside Drive East Burwood, OR the Boroondara Council Offices, Camberwell. 004 "To better respond to the EOI, we seek a copy of the Urban Design Framework" Refer to the response to query 003, above. 005 "Please clarify what is meant by the following comments "3 copies, not exceeding 10 A4 sides excluding attachments such as relevant company reports or statements." Each of the three copies of the submission are to have no more than 10 A4 sides (not including cover pages and contents page) of text / photos / organisational charts etc as the basis of the submission. Other information to support the requirements of the Pre-qualification Criteria such as financial statements and company profiles can be attachments to the submission. 006 "Does KRS have a website that can be accessed in order to obtain background information on KRS such as current use etc?" No external website exists; however the Planning Scheme Amendment contains substantial site related information. Refer to query 003 above on where to view a copy of the Planning Scheme Amendment. 007 "Clarification is sought of the potential site development options beyond the on-site Community Houses. Is there a site plan or other document available for perusal that may shed light on the size of the project?" Yes, the Planning Scheme Amendment contains substantial site related information. Refer to query 003 above on where to view a copy of the Planning Scheme Amendment. In addition to the above, we advise that a revised version of the Advertisement for the Site Developer EOI was posted on the tenders.vic web site on 19th March 2004. The revised version can now be downloaded from the web site. The minor changes to the ad reflect that an outright purchase of the site is only one option that would be considered by Government. Other options are now more clearly identified. The closing date for Expressions of Interest remains as 2.00pm on Thursday 1st April 2004.
